Treasury Operations Officer

As Treasury Operations Officer you are member of our Operations Team. You are responsible for the handling of (exotic) financial transactions for our clients.

The company

DLM Finance provides Fund-, Risk-, and Treasury Management solutions, through its in-house developed system, the Trade Manager. DLM Finance handles complex Treasury processes for our clients. Our clients are mainly active in ‘frontier’ markets. Our team has an in-depth knowledge of treasury and risk management. We assist our clients in managing their trades, which are mostly complex financial loans or derivatives in exotic currencies.

We are a stable, but growing team of 12 people, who have extensive international backgrounds in financial markets, in which they performed roles in the areas of treasury, risk management, accounting, back office, administration, taxation and system selection.

In its current form, DLM was established in 2012 in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. DLM currently has 40 customers who are almost exclusively emerging/ frontier market funds or fund managers. DLM Finance is a young company that experienced strong growth in the last years. Also toward the future the company has a healthy growth expectation.

Your role

You will perform valuations of trades, execute payments, update exchange rates and interest rates and report to regulators. A special feature of our work is that we focus our services mainly on emerging market currencies, which most banks are unable to handle. We work with a web-based system that we developed in-house.

This role offers you the opportunity to develop a strong network though the relationships that you maintain with your clients. This role offers you a challenging environment in which operational excellence, innovative markets and product development are important ingredients. We operate in a dynamic international environment.

  • You are not scared off by the financial vocabulary: accounting, currency risk, settlements, lending and derivatives

  • Pro-actively you propose improvements to our processes and systems leading to our customers being increasingly impressed by our services

  • You will be based in our office in a landmark building in Amsterdam

Your profile

  • You have an analytical mindset

  • You have a healthy interest in developing your skills in a challenging treasury environment

  • This is more important to us than your professional experience, which is between 0-3 years

  • You can work accurately; a payment to an ‘almost correct’ bank account is 100% wrong

  • You are excited to work in a small experienced team and you like to learn new things

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree, preferably in financial discipline

  • You are fluent in English and preferably speak a second language

  • You are based in the Netherlands
